Marie-Chantal Toupin is one of the greatest female rock stars in Quebec history. Thousands have danced to her music and recognized themselves in her lyrics. On stage, the fiery performer has let her passion burst forth more than 1000 times, with a boundless energy that she still possesses today.
Now surrounded by a new team, Productions Martin Leclerc, Marie-Chantal Toupin will be performing across Quebec, where she will meet the public who have followed her for over twenty-five years.
Her new show features her greatest hits, songs from her latest album, Je continuerai, as well as other titles that she has made her own with obvious pleasure.
Comment je pourrais te l'dire, Maudit bordel and Soirée de filles are among the Quebec songs that still have a place in our memories; in fact, she has sold over 500,000 albums, and these songs are among SOCAN's great classics, with 25,000 airings each.
Between 2001 and 2013, Marie-Chantal Toupin was also nominated 13 times for a Félix award, and in 2004, Non négociable was named Rock Album of the Year.
Jacques Roy (Bruno Pelletier, Corey Hart, Pour une histoire d'un soir) will provide musical direction for her new show, and Michel Poirier (Pour une histoire d'un soir, Daniel Lavoie, Marie-Denise Pelletier) will be artistic advisor.
