The Women's Professional Hockey League (WPHL) will come to Quebec City in 2025, when La Victoire de Montréal takes on the Ottawa Charge at Centre Vidéotron on Sunday, January 19, at 1pm.
La Victoire de Montréal is one of six teams in the Ligne Professionnelle de Hockey Féminine (LPHF) - a North American professional ice hockey league founded in 2023. Inaugurated on January 1, 2024, the LPHF has broken numerous attendance records and holds the world record for a women's field hockey game, stabled in Montreal on April 20, 2024, when 21,105 people attended a game between Toronto and Montreal at the Bell Centre. LPHF teams are made up of the world's best female ice hockey players, who compete annually for the Walter Cup.
