Over 20,000 Igloosapiens at Place Jean-Béliveau for the Third and Final Stop of the Monstre Tour
Quebec City, Sunday, March 9, 2025 – The magic of Igloofest Québec worked once again! More than 20,000 festival-goers gathered in the heart of ExpoCité from March 6 to 8 to experience the energy of the nine DJs on the lineup, including the legendary Tiësto, Miss Monique, and deadmau5. With icy decorations, an electrifying atmosphere, and high-energy performances, this third edition confirmed that winter’s cold only adds to Igloofest fever. Good news for fans: the event will return in 2026!
"This third edition of Igloofest Québec has been exceptional in many ways," said Martin Tremblay, President of Gestev. "We were eager to welcome our record-breaking crowd of 9,000 festival-goers on Thursday night, which had been sold out since late January, and I must say the energy in the crowd was as electrifying as the newly added special effects. Seeing the joy on the faces of the Igloosapiens was our greatest reward."
To accommodate this record crowd, Igloofest Québec maintained last year’s site configuration with a few improvements, especially to welcome more spectators. The VIP platforms were redesigned into a two-level structure, offering an exceptional view of the stage and added comfort for festival-goers in that section. The production was also taken up a notch with a larger stage, spectacular special effects, and an enhanced audio-visual experience. This edition has undeniably marked a turning point in the evolution of Igloofest Québec!
A Lineup That Delivered
For the opening night on Thursday, March 6, the incomparable DJ Tiësto kicked off the festival with an almost two-hour set, blending classics and remixes for an electrified crowd of 9,000 festival-goers. Sold out for weeks, this first show of Igloofest Québec 2025 was met with palpable excitement from the moment the doors opened. In an exclusive touch, fireworks launched from the top of the stage added a spectacular element to his performance—a first in the history of the Quebec City edition. The EDM legend was preceded by energetic performances from Nico de Andrea and Yas Khazen, warming up the crowd before the night’s grand finale.
On Friday, March 7, Place Jean-Béliveau pulsed to the sounds of Ukrainian DJ Miss Monique, a true star of progressive techno known for lighting up major stages, including Belgium’s legendary Tomorrowland. Before she took the stage, Montreal duo Hicky & Kalo and DJ/singer-songwriter SIN LESS mesmerized the crowd with hypnotic sets, setting the tone for an electrifying evening.
Finally, for the grand finale on Saturday, March 8, TDJ, a champion of trance-infused eclecticism, and Quebec’s own LOU FRE$H amped up the "cold warriors" before passing the stage to deadmau5.
Extending the Party
Festival-goers were able to keep the party going each night with the highly anticipated Après-ski events at Boîte de Nuit St-Joseph. An intimate atmosphere, exclusive performances, and a final dance session allowed the magic of Igloofest Québec to last until the early hours.
